Tracking the International Space Station
by adminLast night, in the Philadelphia area, the ISS station passed overhead. Clouds obscured the view, unfortunately. ISS overpasses are not rare, but they do not happen everyday….actually they do happen almost every day but not every pass is equal. Some passes happen during the daytime, some barely clip the horizon, and some are brighter than others depending on the angle between the ISS’s solar panels, you, and the sun.
So, want some help figuring out when it is best to see the ISS flying overhead? Try looking at the ISS tracking aplet or for more local information you can get a list of sighting opportunities for your city.
Happy ISS watching!
