Science Gifts For Kids Under 5!
by adminIts a bit unfair, most science toys are aimed squarely at children aged 6+, if not even older. But what are the younger kids to do? Well, fear not,for there are some options for your Pre-Kindergarden scientist.
Spin Bank: An excellent gift for children 3+. Kids drop coins into the bank and when they land on the platform they spin until they run out of momentum and then drop into the coin bank below. Great entertainment as kids save their coins!
Magnetic Dinosaur Puzzle. A great little puzzle for little hands. Kids put the ‘complete’ dinosaur pieces over the skeletal versions of the dinosaur. The magnetic sheet means little hands won’t bump the pieces out of place as they put it together. For ages 4+. It even comes with a great educational poster!
Magnetic Space Puzzle. Similar to the Dinosaur puzzle, but with beautiful space objects! Kids put the pieces over their description and once again the magnetic sheet prevents little hands from bumping the piece out of place. Even better, the puzzle glows in the dark! Includes an educational space poster. For ages 4+.
Space Stones. OK, these stone glow in the dark. That’s pretty much all they do, but younger kids really seem to get a kick out of them. Great for ages 3+.
Space Sand Space Sand is good for kids aged 3+. This sand is treated so that it never bonds with water. You can pour it in a bowl of water and scoop it out with a spoon - it comes out dry! But to see more you might want to watch our blog post about Space Sand!
Instant Snow. Just add some water and watch the instant snow puff up over 100 times its original size! Great for kids age 4+.
