Never-Fall Wind-Up ‘U.F.O’
by adminThe Never-fall wind-up UFO looks like a simple wind up toy that you might see anywhere, but it actually has a little secret: It won’t fall off the edge of a table!
This is a nifty feature in a toy that costs just $3.49! The secret to this little toy is….well OK, we admit it we don’t really know the secret. Honest. We’ve had Mechanical Engineers in the store who couldn’t figure out the mechanism (of course they weren’t allowed to take one apart!). Some speculated sensors (which seems very unlikely given the low price). More likely the answer is a third ‘wheel’ that is slightly more recessed than the two drive wheels. When the ‘UFO’ starts to go over the edge the UFO tips forward slightly and the third wheel catches to turn the UFO away from peril.
So let’s see the little guy in action!
