OK, we are a little behind the game here, but as you may have heard The Phoenix Lander found ice on Mars! Its not a huge surprise as Mars has long been suspected to have ice at its poles. But the discover of ice at locations that were not the poles is a major breakthrough.

Mercury The Morning Star

Like a little early morning planet challege? Well Mercury will be acting as a morning star this summer, reaching its highest point around June 7th & 8th. It will reach its heights 30 minutes before sunrise. Keep in mind that Mercury is not the most impressive of views. It looks like a white dot. This map may help Mercury viewing.

Last Chance to Put Your Name On the Moon

Friday the 27th is the deadline to submit your name to be put on a microchip that will be sent with the Lunar Reconniassance Orbiter, which will be launched later this year. To get your name to the Moon, just go to the LRO website and click ‘add your name’ on the right hand column.
