So it turns out that peeling up ordinary Scotch tape in a vacuum chamber produces X-Rays!.
This, we must admit, comes under the ‘did not expect this’ area of science.
Its not just an oddball property, either, it may result in a low cost method of producing X-rays for research. Time will tell.
