If all goes well this Friday NASA will be launching its WISE (Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer) satellite. This will scan the skies in the infrared with much greater sensitivity than ever before. NASA has been prepping its new Ares Rocket for a test launch this coming Tuesday (October 27). The Ares is the potential replacement for the aging-and-soon-to-be-retired Space Shuttle. Here is a video of the rocket arriving at the launch pad:
