Candy! Errr…Crystal Candy!

These kits are not only educational but also darn tasty! Kids learn how crystals are seeded and grow using specially seeded sticks in a saturated solution of sucrose (say that 10 times fast). Over the period of a week, the crystal candy grows until it is ready to eat!
You get the growing vessel, surcrose, study guide, and 5 seeded sticks to grow the candy. You can even ‘re-use’ the sticks by re-seeding them with table sugar (or do it with another stick). The results might be a slightly less clear crystal candy, but candy nontheless.
The kit will need a few common kitchen items: a saucepan, a spatula, measuring cup and a stovetop. This is all part of making the super-saturated solution!
